Bespoke Design

Hi there. Sorry if this is in the wrong place…

I’m totally new to WordPress and to be quite honest, it gives me a constant headache.

I’m a digital designer so I’m well-versed in designing for online, but I have zero coding knowledge or experience using WP. I’ve only ever made websites in Wix (and iWeb back in the day) but for what I’m trying to do, Wix is not advanced enough.

What I’d like to do in an ideal world, is use a very simple builder tool like there is on Wix to create a completely bespoke website. The themes I’ve seen have not suited my needs. I’ve been following a tutorial to create a blog with the Kale theme, but it seems really restrictive. I can’t just resize the logo for example, or add a black strip in the header for the menu.

Does anyone have an idea on what would be a good solution for a non-technical person like me?
