Hi, I am NEW NEW to WordPress and so confused at the moment. I am currently trying to download WordPress to my PC Windows 10 64Bit.
I know I need to download MySQL & PHP and have read the install guidelines and watch some videos also to learn what to do. But where do you suggest I get that software and is WAMP or Bitnami the best? or is something better recommended?

Local by Flywheel. It’s free and after the 1st large download, you can spin up a WP site in seconds.

Thank you. Can you tell me why you choose that over the WAMP or Bitnami or others suggested? Besides it being free?
Once I download Flywheel, is there anything else I have to do? or can I just download WP and start?

I use it and it’s incredibly easy for local dev work.

When you download and install Local By Flywheel and start it for the first time, you’ll see a “install wordpress” button. Click it and it all happens.
