Banner translation with WPML

    Hi there, I have a problem that had been discussed earlier already, but the recommendations in these threads didn’t work out so far.

    We have a website with two languages (German and English), managed with WPML. I want to translate a Simple Banner accordingly. I found a support thread explaining to auto-register and translate strings in WPML. I did successfully that for “simple_banner_text” but that doesn’t show in the Simple Banner backend nor on the site (on our stage, not the live URL above). The translation doesn’t work, it stays in the original version in any of the two languages.

    How can I resolve this issue?

    I got the translation of the WPML string working.

    But I’m facing another language-related issue now. I want to use page exclusions and setting up the rules for one language works fine. But when I edit and save the second language, the selection made for the first get overwritten and all page exclusions are lifted again.

    Feedback on this issue much appreciated!
