Bad login attempts lock outs

Hi

I am getting several of these and they continue even though I have changed the login url.

Is a bad login attempt recorded when someone tries to access an obvious login url like /wp-login.php /login etc or does it register only when they use the actual url that we have changed this to? I can’t see the url that they are attempting to log in at in the logs.
