Hello @admi112
Our plugin primarily deals with pre- and post-purchase offers, and it doesn’t directly handle shipping pricing. So it’s unclear which product meta you’re referring to in this context.
Could you please share a specific scenario or example where you’re seeing this issue? That would help us better understand and address it.
Alternatively, you’re welcome to connect with our support team for a more detailed investigation.
And we will make sure to help you and fix the things you are having
Regards,
That’s even more disturbing.
Why does your plugin add product_meta it doesn’t even use ?
Thousands of thousands records like this “Wps Upsell Simple Shipping Product XXXXX” where XXXXX is the product ID
I don’t use any other of your plugins.
Hello,
The meta key wps_upsell_simple_shipping_product_xx is part of the functionality that supports one of the features of our plugin — specifically, indirectly handling conditional shipping pricing on post-purchase upsell products. This is managed through the “Upsell Shipping” settings available in the product edit tab.
While the meta key may not appear directly linked to visible features, it plays a functional role in the background to determine and apply shipping conditions dynamically based on the upsell configuration.
That said, we understand your concern regarding the number of meta entries, and we acknowledge that optimization is necessary. This improvement will be included in an upcoming version of the plugin.
Your feedback is greatly appreciated and helps us enhance the overall performance and usability of the plugin
Thank you
My concerns are:
1) using product ID in meta key is a bad pattern
2) they are created even thou I’m not using this functionality at all
