    Shortpixel isn’t backing up original images on multi site installations *except* for the root site (is that what you call it?)

    Debug log shows:

    [ 2020-05-07 10:18:08 ] [31m ERR [0m 	 Backup Directory could not be established!   	 wp-short-pixel.php in getBackupFolderInternal(1848) ( 2.98613 )
    Array
    (
        [0] => W:/HostingSpaces/user/domain.com/wwwroot/assets/sites/5/zoe2_split-scaled.jpg
        [1] => assets/sites/5/
        [2] => assets/sites/5/
        [3] => zoe2_split-scaled.jpg
    )

    The directory for that site does exist in the backup folder (W:/HostingSpaces/user/domain.com/wwwroot/assets/ShortPixelBackups/sites/5/), but no files are put into it.

    I’ve only just found out the hard way, when a customer needed to get copies of their originals 🙁

  • Hi Ben,

    Sorry to hear about that 🙁

    Just to make sure, do all the folders in your file system have the same and correct permissions? They should be 755.

    If they are already were correct, can you please contact us here so we can take a deeper look at this? Make sure to mention this conversation, please.

    Thank you!

    Marking this thread as solved; the issue got fixed a few versions ago.
