• Hi everyone, I hope you have a wonderful day .

Since 3 days I tried to do a backup but it’s always failed so I decide to ask some help to professional .

    THE SITUATION

First let me explain my situation . I create my portfolio on internet (not local), with the address : labyki.com .

Now I would like to create two different website, one for my portfolio and one for a learning system .

I have two different theme , so at first I though I would use subdomain and install 2 wordpress but after some time, I realize I could install just 1 wordpress and use multisite system … And this is when problems start .

As I spend a lot of time doing my portfolio, I didn’t want to start to zero so I needed to do a backup right ? I found a wonderful plugin that work perfectly call :”wp-clone” . I clone my online website and transfer it to my localhost and it work .
After I forgot I wanted a multisite , so I uninstall everything ,reinstall wordpress and allow multisite system . But now the plugin doesn’t work because it handle only one website . I try to found a plugin but every time It’s failed .

    MY PROBLEM

I want to clone a single website (labyki.com) who is online to a website on a multisite network on a localhost (localhost/labyki/portfolio) .

So I need a plugin that can work on a multisite network and allow me to choose which website I want to transfer the backup . Because I don’t want to transfert in (localhost/labyki) but in (localhost/labyki/portfolio)

If possible I would like a free plugin .

And maybe is there an other option, a better one ? Is multisite is a good idea ?

Thank you for people who will read this and who will answer me , have a great day`

  • I won’t recommend multisite for your case.

since the two sites are different, it is better to have individual WordPress installation for each of them. It is easier, simpler, less headache too.

Oh thank you so much to answer to my question . I was thinking the same , that it was probably simpler .

But just in case, for maybe the futur . Is there a plugin whom do what i want to do ?
