Backup Sets – Help me understand

    Hello,
    I just want to understand how many backup sets I will be creating if I schedule my database to backup daily (keeping 7 sets) and the files to backup weekly (keeping 2 sets). If I run the full cycle of backups through their ‘sets’ and assuming I start on Monday —

    Set 1: database, plugins, theme
    Set 2: database only
    Set 3: database only
    Set 4: database only
    Set 5: database only
    Set 6: database only
    Set 7: database only
    Set 8: database, plugins, theme
    … what’s next? Set 9 with database only or Set 2 with database only?

    I don’t follow the question… what does “next” mean in this context?

    “if I schedule my database to backup daily (keeping 7 sets) and the files to backup weekly (keeping 2 sets)”

    Under this scenario, the database will be backed up every day; and after the 7th day, the database from 1 week earlier will be deleted after the new database backup is made; and the files will be backed up every week; and after the 2nd week, the files from the first week will be deleted after the new files backup is made.
