Backup file 0 byte, no other errors

Backup files are 0 byte. No errors given. Backup filenames are created but files themselves don’t exist. I checked the permission at /uploads/db-backup/ (all 777) and owner/group is correct.
I have multiple installs of this plugin and none have this issue. Any idea?
