Backup does not start

    Hi,

    I’ve just downloaded this plugin since it seems to fit perfectly to my needs. However after installing it, and pressing WP2D -> Back-up Log to start the backup, nothing happens.

    All I can see is ‘You have not run a backup yet. When you do you will see a log of it here.’, after pressing start, you see ‘Loading’ for a second after which the first message appears again.

    I’ve installed Error log – No errors are being shown and the log is empty. I’ve also installed Cron Viewer, and the dropbox functions are also listed there.

    Any advice?

    Do scheduled posts work for you?

    Doesn’t seem to work,

    I’ve even added

    <Files wp-cron.php>
    allow from all
    Satisfy Any
    </Files>

    to my .htaccess, but it still won’t publish posts.

    It looks like you have a Varnish layer in front of your blog and requests to wp-cron.php are not actually hitting WordPress, hence the reason backups won’t start.

    You need to add wp-cron.php to an exclude list within a Varnish VCL.
