Actually i am in a big mess… my hosting plan was about to get terminated so I downloaded complete public_html folder and planed to upload at my own server. But I forgot to download database of the same.

Now I put all the folder in public_html of my server but I’m getting unable to connect database. I edited wp_config.php file and put new database entries but with no gain, is there anyway to start that website again with all its contain???

Please help me out. Thanks in advance

If you lost the database, you’ve lost your WordPress web site. There just is no other way to say it.

    Sorry!

Are you sure there is no other way round? I thought that if I copy all the stuff from public_html then wordpress will grow its database once again. 🙁

No, what exists in the database is “unique data” that does not exist elsewhere.

You could approach your old hosting site to see if they still have a backup of your database.

    Agree with @jonradio here.

The only other thing to suggest is to check and see if some of the pages from your old site are archived at the Internet Archive. This might give you chance to capture some of the html content and screenshot the appearance.
