  • I need to move a local site from one PC to another.
Do I need to copy anything other than the following folder to a USB drive to ensure I get the whole site?
    C:\wamp64\www\newsitelocal

And is there a way to transfer the WAMP settings?

  • perhaps using a backup plugin like https://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/ would be your best bet.
If doing by hand you need to export your existing database in phpmyadmin, copy wordpress files to new location, create an empty database in phpmyadmin in new location, and import the database dump from old location. You will then need to point WordPress to the new database in wp-config.php

“And is there a way to transfer the WAMP settings?” – there are several WAMP implementations. You’ll have more luck checking yours for its documentation, support, forums, etc. to answer that question.
