Avoid installing – useless DEMO – misleading name

    This plugin should be called Gallery Library Plus because it has nothing to do with Media Library. This plugin is just useless demo with misleading name for pro version.
    After installing nothing change when managing media in library.
    You can not organize media for posts and pages.

    Hi @zielonymlotek, sorry you felt like you were misled. To help prevent your experience from happening to people in the future, do you think adding a clearer section in the plugin description would help? It might be too difficult for the plugin authors to change the plugin name as the plugin has already been established in the community.

    Hi Andrew,

    Thanks for taking a look. We will think about it since this is the first instance in 40k downloads (I know, I know. Downloads don’t matter.) But I think you might want to look at the history of this fine WordPress citizen on the forums since they seem to be leaving reviews like this on a lot of the gallery plugins.

    And maybe a little etiquette training on what is a 1 star might be in order too since they are so incredibly hard to overcome and usually unjustly given.

    Hi Bob,

    In this case some moderators would link the user to a ‘how to leave a good review’ guide and I don’t agree with that approach. There is nothing wrong with the content in those guides, but the Reviews system here at WordPress.org does not operate the same as other review systems. The Review system here behaves just like other thread on the support forum. If the review is too succinct then you can openly ask the user to provide more details. It is encouraged you do so.

    Some reviewers are not interested in replying and that’s something we have to respect. You might consider the rating unfair, but a rating only conveys someone’s experience with the plugin. If it was a negative experience then the review and rating reflects that. People shouldn’t treat the review system as a way of judging the quality of a plugin. Someone can have a 5 star experience while others a 1 star experience.

    I can take a look at the reviews on your plugin if you feel like something fishy is going on.

    This isn’t fishy for me except this review. It’s just that this person has also left a review just like this on another gallery plugin. And if that’s what we want in our ecosystem, then it’s fine.

    But in a lot of bulletin board systems stuff like this gets wiped out.
