Avatars Blurry, Can’t Be Loaded

    Hi, we recently moved over from WP User Avatar. But our avatars are showing as blurry. I don’t recall whether that was the case before subsequently updating to WP 5.8, so I am wondering whether it has something to do with ShortPixel or WebP. I’ll do some testing but please advise of any known issues or anything else that could be related.

    Also in some cases, they’re not loading up at all. For one of our users, I have uploaded a fresh pic, selected it in ‘Choose From Library’ and then clicked ‘Update User’ and yet his profile pic remains broken.

    To clarify, the “broken” profile pic is of Kevin Trill, who posted a comment on the story linked first above. That and the second link both show blurry author pics in their bio boxes.

    Hi @campbellscoop, visiting the links you shared, I see the avatars display correctly for bio box and comment. Can you please share what did you do to make it work?

    Also, look like your site is using CND, the broken avatars may be caused by broken communication between your site and CND when transferring the cropped avatars. (This is just my fragile guess after visiting your site)

    Thanks. I once again ran ShortPixel’s bulk optimization and it seemed to fix everything except certain images, which I deleted and replaced so they’re fine now.

    CND? Do you mean CDN as in Content Delivery Network?

    Doh! It’s my typo mistake, I mean CDN. Thanks for the clarification! I’m marking this topic as Resolved as your issue was fixed.
