Hi there,
If you’re using a security plugin, disable it and see if that resolves the issue.
I do have Wordfence. I disabled it, but the issue persists.
In order to work properly, Jetpack needs to be able to connect to your site via XML-RPC. Right now if you have a look at your site’s XML-RPC here:
https://avalonnursingrehab.com/xmlrpc.php?for=jetpack
You will notice that there is a warning that this file has been blocked by Mod_Security.
I would suggest contacting your hosting provider and asking them to help you disable this block so that your XML-RPC will look like this:
https://jetpack.com/xmlrpc.php
Unfortunately, blocking XML-RPC is not a great solution for fighting security risks. It’s akin to selling your car because you don’t want it to be stolen.
Your site’s XML-RPC file is kind of like a communication gateway to your site. Jetpack, the WordPress Mobile Apps, and other plugins and services will use this file to communicate to your site. If this is blocked, you will have other issues pop-up down the road for the same reasons.
I would suggest contacting your hosting provider and asking them to unblock your site’s XML-RPC. The most popular hosting providers out there have managed to find other ways to protect their servers without having to hinder your site and your ability to use services with your WordPress.
The block is now disabled. My site’s XML-RPC is now accesible. However, the error still persists. π
At least according to tests from our end, Jetpack is working properly at https://avalonnursingrehab.com/ now.
Are you still having trouble with this?
That’s strange. Because on my end, the error is still present.

Hi there,
Please disable all plugins except for Jetpack and see if the error goes away. Then enable them one by one and see if a plugin is conflicting with Jetpack.
You were right on the money. One plugin triggered the issue. Now, why didn’t I think of doing that?! Thanks for the support guys!
