Yes, want to use external image as featured image, and yes, this same image will already be part of the post as an externally embedded image.

I guess the most of the users don’t need this feature. Am I wrong?

I will try to help you. But let me know why you guys need that. Isn’t featured image shown in your post?
I am using a theme call Wiles where featured image only show on the category page but not the post page.

The version 1.1.3 was released.
If your theme don’t show Featured Image (internal or external) in Posts, Pages or Products, now it’s possible to include that at the beginning of the content automatically.
