• What I’m looking for is a plugin that will display the image associated with a post.

For example, I attach an image to my post when writing it, and it appears as a linked thumbnail in my post page. Is there a plugin that will automatically generate another, smaller thumbnail, which I can use on my site’s front page, with all of this happening automatically?

Something similar to what I’ve got at http://www.btccaction.co.uk right now, where the current image has been placed there manually I’d like this to happen automatically. Else lots of editing reuiqred!

Ultimately I’m looking for a similar effect to http://www.rapnews.co.uk/ if that’s done automatically of course!

  • there’s a way to do this, but you’ll need to use custom fields and do it per post, but it’s fairly quick once you get into doing it.

rapnews is using custom fields for that, because if you click on one of the posts on that front page, that image isn’t necessarily inside the actual post.

the only problem is that i’m not sure exactly how it’s done, but i know that chait knows how to do it… http://www.chait.net/index.php?p=238 (that’s his page of plugins, but you might be able to contact him there and ask for help)

I’m bumping this because the original poster describes exactly what I’m looking for – Post-Image is too technical for some of my users. They just need to upload a file that gets stored with the post. Any idea if something like this has been built in the last ten months?
