    Hi,

I’m looking for the best way to set up an automatic shipping process and connect the store with any carrier service? I think that there is no such option in WooCommerce by default. How do Woocommerce shops usually manage their shipping? There are so many different services out there that it is kind of difficult to know where to start.

Thank you very much for your help and time!

    Best regards,

    Bertrand

  • Hey Bertrand,

Thanks for reaching out. Are you looking for a service to fulfill and ship your orders or primarily for rates?

If you’re looking for fulfillment, there is an Amazon Fulfillment extension that can help you with this. It works with Amazon’s fulfillment services to store and ship your orders as they are placed.

    https://woocommerce.com/products/woocommerce-amazon-fulfillment/

If you’re looking for rates, there are numerous extensions that can handle live rates for customers at checkout. It’s usually best to start with the carrier. Is there one you’re working with? Let us know and we can help find what’s available.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

    Thanks for your quick answer!

Ok if I understand well the Amazon extension takes care of all the shipping process by simply installing their plugin. It seems perfect but I guess this is not free. Do you know what they expect in return? I could definitely consider this option but it appears they do not cover/support Belgium.

Ok starting with rates seems to be a good idea after all. We would like to work with DPD BELGIUM (https://www.dpd.com/) but it can still change.

Thanks a lot again for you help!

    Regards,

    Bertrand

    Hi Bertrand,

Amazon Fulfillment does appear to be a good service, but they do charge for both shipping and storage of your products.

    https://services.amazon.com/fulfillment-by-amazon/pricing.html

But if they aren’t available in Belgium, then that doesn’t help out.

For the DPD Shipping, they appear to have created their own WooCommerce extension you may be able to use:

    https://wordpress.org/plugins/woo-shipping-dpd-baltic/

Since they created it, that would be a good one to start with.

If you have any questions, please let me know.

    Cheers
