The version 6 doesn’t work for me, I am on elementor and it broke the website. The events calendar elementor widgets are gone both on the backend and frontend.

Anyway, I figured I reverse my update and go back to the version 5 that I was using. The problem is after a few hours my plugin updates itself to version 6. and then I am back to a broken site.

I have my updates auto disabled on the backend, tried to force it as well via wp-config and tried an updates plugin to disable/block all updates but it keeps on happening.

At the moment I don’t want to update my Events Calendar plugin, not until the elementor issue has been resolved. How do I stop it from updating itself?

  • Hey @rhairhai

    Yikes! That’s awful.

First off, we definitely want The Events Calendar to work properly with Elementor.

Just to be clear, when you say that The Events Calendar Elementor widgets are gone, do you mean the native Elementor Widgets that come from our Events Calendar Pro add-on or something else?

As for the auto-updates, normally the following procedure should fix things.

If that doesn’t work, then it’s likely that your web host is forcing the updates on you. You will need to contact them to disable those.

    Hang in there!

    Hi @geoffbel

thank you that bit about the host forcing the updates was very useful. You are right, the update was being forced by the host.

Yup, the Calendar Pro plugin, when updated I can’t see the widgets on Elementor anymore and on the frontend as well.

    Thanks again.
