[Resolved] Auto sort by keyword

  • Using this excellent plugin for a while. Works GREAT.

Is it possible to auto sort by keyword?

    Details:

I have a table with a hidden column with certain keywords.
I would like to display the entire table but sort by certain keywords.

I found the row filter extension but this will not work for me as I need to display the entire table but just sort by certain word.

    Thanks in advance

    Best Regards,

    Hi,

    thanks for your question.

I’m not directly sure what you mean with those keywords in those extra hidden columns, but you could try the Table Row Order Extension from http://tablepress.org/extensions/table-row-order/

    Tobias

    Thanks for your reply Tobias.

Let’s see if I can make this more clear

    Example table:

    Year, Make, Color
    1999, Ford, Black
    1988, Jeep, Blue
    1997, Chrysler, Blue
    1996, Dodge, White

I would like to auto sort as shown below.

    Year, Make, Color
    1988, Jeep, Blue
    1997, Chrysler, Blue
    1996, Dodge, White
    1999, Ford, Black

Therefore all rows with column word = Blue display first.

    Thanks

    Hi,

    thanks for the example.

Unfortunately, I don’t see a way to achieve this in an automatic way then 🙁 The order “Blue, White, Black” is obviously not alphabetic, so I have no clue how to achieve that 🙁 Sorry.

    Regards,
    Tobias
