• We have WordPress websites, and are planning to use MailChimp Sign Up Forms on them.

I would like to know if we can put auto populated fields on the MailChimp Sign up form.

For example, our websites are registered members only, and they must login to navigate our sites. WordPress knows their username, nick name and e-mail address. If I create a sign up form, can “Email” field be filled out automatically based on the logged-in user’s information?

We are also using Gravity Forms, and it does exactly what I described above.

I understand that some people may want to use different email address to subscribe newsletters, but I am checking if the MailChim’s sign u8p form can have auto populated fields based on the user’s information.

    Thank you.

  • Hey there,

Thanks for posting! While there are ways to pre-fill generic data (placeholder values), I’m afraid that the interaction described is not a feature of our plugin. In order to accomplish the pre-filling/auto-population of specific logged-in user data, you’d need to make edits to the plugin code itself and add that functionality manually.
