• Hi team,

This plugin is awesome and have been using it with Gravity Forms.

One issue I wanted to ask about.

I have had some users fail to submit forms and I think it might be because their browser is autocompleting the form and filling in the honeypot field. Could this be possible? I have temporarily disabled the plugin until I can do more testing.

Is there a preferred setup to use it with gravity forms and is there a method to ensure auto completion is disabled?

Also with there a best practise for the alert message so non spammers can resubmit?

Auto complete doesn’t make any difference for our plugin as our honeypot trap is different. Actually our plugin’s javascript adds the field and fill it up as well. So the field should be filled by our plugin itself. And when the form is submitted our plugin check that field and its value. Since spam bots are yet to use javascript, they can’t fill it up.

It only blocks the manual users when they have disabled javascript in their browser or they are using browser that doesn’t support javascript. Which is extremely rare until and unless they disable themselves.

However, we got some issue regarding Gravity Form when Ajax submission was enabled. So we have pushed a new release yesterday 1.5.6 that fixes the issue with Ajax enabled gravity forms.

Also, we have extended version (premium one) that can store what the bots are trying to submit. You can check those records and be satisfied that genuine fill ups are not being missed.

    Hope this helps.

    Hey @dnesscarkey,

    Thanks for replying.

I just updated the plugin and found that GF now just outputs “There was a problem with your submission. Errors have been highlighted below.”

I have also found that if that if they have JS off and recaptcha (I am not a robot) is installed the form doesn’t submit.

Does recaptcha need to be removed too? and honeypot on GF need to be unchecked?

Thanks so much. Seem like silly questions but just trying to make sure I don’t miss any enquiries.

Can I email you a link to my site to check?

Sorry @dnesscarkey I just realised the users are successfully completing the gravity form but getting stuck at the WP registration form which I’m using the Theme My Login plugin and also a captcha.

Does WP Armour work with theme my login?
