Auto ads are not displaying on my site, even tho they were before. Other than Vignette ads, no other ones are showing (in page ads), so that is very strange for me. Preview at AdSense showing the placement of ads, but they are not displayed on the webpage.

Auto ads are turned on, site status is still Ready, as it has always been.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi realverzus,

    Thanks for reporting your issue.

The auto ads code is correctly injected. Since the vignette ads are showing up, I don’t guess that there is an issue with your account.

However, there might be a wrong configuration in the Auto ads settings in your AdSense account. You can set the number of ads to a minimum there or exclude ads from specific pages. I don’t guess that you have a wrong setting there, but checking this is my first recommendation.

AdSense decides where to show how many ads on your website. If you want to force ads on a specific position, I recommend injecting them manually. This is also possible in addition to the Auto ads.

    Best regards,
    Joachim

Thank you so much for your answer.

DO you have something specific in mind for the wrong configuration of auto ads settings? I did set restrictions for some pages, but on the pages without restrictions, ads were not showing.

However, I did experience something unusual today: when I look at my site today, I saw two ads (which weren’t there yesterday), but when refreshing the page, they disappeared. COuld it be that Google removed the ads for me because of UX? I have read somewhere that Google would sometimes remove ads if they analyze that they don’t perform well (don’t get the conversion for clicks). Could that be the case?

    Hi realverzus,

    Thanks for your reply.

    I had in mind:

    • the number of ads
    • blocked sites
    • disabled in-page ads

AdSense decides about the number and position of ads. I expect that AdSense considers the ad performance and the competition of bidding advertisers for certain keywords.

      Best regards,
      Joachim
