Hi. Our post notifications have stopped working. So now we are trying with the MailPoet Sending Service setting in WordPress.

We have just registered for the free account, activated the key and added the DNS settings on our hosting account. And the email address and sender domains are verified in our MailPoet account.

But in WordPress, we keep getting the wordpress@ email address is not yet authorized error:

The MailPoet Sending Service did not send your latest email because the address wordpress@ourdomain.com is not yet authorized.

The wordpress address is not anywhere in our settings. We are also using the Easy WP SMTP plugin, but de-activating that doesn’t help.

    Please help!

    Hi there @yoyoyomar 👋🏽

wordpress@ email address is not yet authorized error:

Can you confirm that you have selected a different email address under MailPoet > Settings > Basics as shown in this screenshot? https://d.pr/i/ccZzTd

We are also using the Easy WP SMTP plugin, but de-activating that doesn’t help.

I think that if you are going to use the MailPoet Sending Service you could safely disable the Easy WP SMTP plugin.

    Please keep us posted!

    Cheers

Yes, the email address is definitely not the wordpress@ in the settings.

I have tried with the MailPoet sending service, and I also tried entering our SMTP settings in the configuration. But every time it kept giving the errors about the wordpress@ address.

So I just tried changing the sending method back to ‘Internet Hosting provider’ and changed to WordPress standard method under advanced. Basically our original settings. And now it is working again.

So I don’t know what the problem was. I updated to version 3.69.0 before changing the settings back. I don’t know if that had anything to do with it. I still don’t know why it was complaining about the wordpress@ address though, when we were explicitly giving a different from address in the settings.

    Hi again @yoyoyomar!

OK, so if I am getting this right the problem got solved by changing the MailPoet Send with options.

Are you now sending with the MailPoet Sending Service or with your webhost (as shown in this screenshot)? https://d.pr/i/EL8ABr

    Thanks for clarifying

    Cheers
