Hi everyone – hope someone can help.

I’ve tried a number of solutions for this one of them being Role Manager but it doesn’t quite seem to do what I need – I don’t think.

Anyway what I want is a system where I can have multiple authors but when they go to add posts or edit posts they only ever see there own posts and allocated categories. So effectively they are restricted to the areas I determine. A solution I did try was Social Access Control – but this seems to provide the categories per author in admin area (which works great) but also restricts the author from viewing the rest of the content on the front end.

All I’m really looking for is a system where I can tick a few category boxes per author and that’s all they can edit/add to. When they look at the front end they see all the site with no restrictions.

It seems a number of people have been looking for a simple feature like this, I’d code it and release a plugin but sadly I’m only a code tweaker not a coder.

Any help would be great
