[Resolved] Author and Updated correction

  • How do I fix the author and updated errors for this theme? Which php file is it in to correct both posts and pages? This theme looks like it is set up differently than the other themes I have fixed.

    Thank you,

    Joey Gedgaud

    joeygedgaud,

    What do you mean?

How do I fix the author and updated errors for this theme?

i got the same problem. In the Google Webmaster Tools there are a new section called Structured Data for the Rich Snippets. And there are now some Errors for the hAtom microformats like “entry-titel” is missing, or “Author” is missing and “updated” is missing. I found this one:
    http://www.davidtiong.com/fix-hatom-microformats-at-least-one-field-must-be-set-for-hatomentry/

I tried to fix it like mentioned in the above link, but didn`t work in my fruitful Theme Configuration.

    Any suggestion?

alsterfisch describes it correctly. Webmasters has errors where it can not find the author and updated meta data in the header of the pages and posts. In the single.php file there is usually a:

    <span class=”post_date”><?php the_time(‘j F,Y’); ?></span>

    or

    <span class=”theauthor”><?php the_author(); ?></span>

There is not in this theme and it is written differently. I do not know which line I can fix to correct the Google errors. This is important for SEO on my website.

    Thank you.

Still looking to solve these problems from Google webmaster for this theme:

    Error: Missing required field “entry-title”.
    Error: Missing required field “updated”.
    Error: Missing required hCard “author”.
