@kcurreri, did your problems start with an update to WP 3.3?
Nope, it just happened suddenly. However, after I started having issues I tested an old version of WP and I could upload fine. Then I updated the same old version to 3.3.1 and I started having the issue.
Nope and I have a work around for this. If you’re like me and the file is uploading into Hostgator then there is a plug-in called add from server that will allow you to get around this I just did it and it worked.
and my problem started on Wednesday, I’ve been using 3.3.1 for a while with no problem.
and with Add From Server are your images in the WP database? and can they attach to posts, show up as header images, etc?
I took a look at this plugin, do you need to upload the file via FTP?
When you activate and go in it shows your upload files. Just scroll through the files that are in check the ones that are available.
Glad it works for you! I may end up going that route if I can’t figure out anything by the end of the weekend. My issue is that I have a lot of non-technical users at my company that update the site. It would be tough to teach all of them a new process, however I may be out of options.
