Attributes custom sort changes again

    Hey,

    I got 150+ attribute terms which I need to sort manually. So I do it via drag & drop with the 3 lines right on each term. That works fine. It also shows the loading circle.

    But whenever I refresh the page, the terms are in their old position. Everything I did, wasn’t saved.

    How can I get woocommerce to save my changes?

    Along with that, could you please share a copy of your site’s System Status? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”.  Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.

    Hi @davylyon,

    Thanks for sending over the SSR. Nothing there really jumps out to me as the likely cause of the trouble here.

    Here’s what I’d like to suggest you try next. Go to the Attribute page again. This time open up the developer’s console. If there are any errors encountered they may appear here.

    Try opening the console and then try to change the order of the terms. Let us know what you find out when you try that.

    Also, try creating a test attribute and add about 10 terms in it. Can you change their order successfully?

    Let us know and we’ll go from there.

    Thanks for the reply.

    The listed errors came on loading the page. There were no new when I drag & drop the items.

    I created a new attribute with only 10 items. I had no problem there, sorting them. After refreshing the page, they were still on the right position.
    So it has to do with the amount of attribute items? The attribute has about 194 items in it.

    It sounds like this could be caused by a conflict with your theme or with another plugin.
     
    The best way to determine this is to:

    • Temporarily switch your theme to Storefront
    • Disable all plugins except for WooCommerce
    • Repeat the action that is causing the problem

    If you’re not seeing the same problem after completing the conflict test, then you know the problem was with the plugins and/or theme you deactivated. To figure out which plugin is causing the problem, reactivate your other plugins one by one, testing after each, until you find the one causing conflict. You can find a more detailed explanation on how to do a conflict test here.

    Please make sure you have a good backup in place of your full site and database. If something goes wrong, it’s nice to know that you can restore your site.
