    How important is it to “Attach” an image to a post? I have a few image galleries and I noticed that many of the images in the media Library are shown as Unattached. Should I be concerned?

    Hello!

    You shouldn’t be concerned. You attach images if you want to, if it’s necessary. By “Unattached”, WordPress is just letting you know that they don’t belong to a post or page.

    But if you have unattached images that you are not planning to use, or maybe they came with the theme’s demo(s) and you don’t find any use for them, then it’s best to delete them as they occupy unnecessary space, especially if they are not optimized properly.
