ATmosphere: Bluesky login cannot be renewed

Bluesky rejected this site’s login setup when ATmosphere tried to renew the saved login. New posts and comments will not publish until the connection is restored. Site Health explains what Bluesky objected to. Open Site Health for details.

    Hi @earl_d 👋

The notice means that Bluesky refused the site’s login setup when ATmosphere tried to renew the login. Most of the time this happens because Bluesky cannot load a small file from your site, for example because of a firewall, a security plugin, a caching plugin or a maintenance mode.

Could you check these things for me?

    1. Which version of ATmosphere are you using?
    2. Go to Tools → Site Health → Status. What does the “ATmosphere Bluesky Reachability Test” say?
    3. In Tools → Site Health → Info → ATmosphere, what does “Last Login Renewal” show?
    4. Did the site address or the permalink settings change recently?

You can also open https://your-site.example/wp-json/atmosphere/v2/client-metadata in a private browser window. It should show a small JSON document and no
    login page or error.

If all of that looks fine, disconnecting and connecting again under Settings → ATmosphere should probably fix it.
