• Hello Astra Support,

I’m experiencing a persistent and critical issue when attempting to use the Astra theme on a fresh WordPress installation.

    System Context

    • Hosting: IONOS
    • WordPress version: Fresh install (latest version as of August 2025)
    • Astra Theme: Downloaded directly from the WordPress theme repository
    • Plugins: Zero plugins installed or activated
    • Site: http://www.sugatees.com

      Issue Summary
    • After successfully installing WordPress and logging in to the dashboard:
    • I installed the Astra theme via the Appearance > Themes menu.
    • Immediately upon activation, the site crashes and returns:
      • “There has been a critical error on this website.”
    • I am locked out of both the front-end and the admin area of the site.

      Troubleshooting Steps Taken
    • Performed a full fresh reinstall of WordPress from scratch.
    • Confirmed no plugins were installed or active.
    • Reinstalled Astra theme multiple times.
    • Attempted reinstall via both WordPress dashboard.
    • Received assistance from hosting support to regain dashboard access after crashes.

Please advise on how I can proceed, as I’m unable to use the Astra theme at all in its current state and would prefer to avoid switching themes if possible.

Thank you in advance for your help.
