• Hi there,

Is there a way to assign a value to a dropdown field based on user meta data?

I have a dropdown field with some options and i want to autoselect one when the form loads based on some user meta data i created.

    Regards,

    Lahuen

  • Hi @lahuengarcia,

Currently we don’t have the feature to auto-select a choice in a dropdown field based on a user mets. I’ve made a note of the feature request and we’ll keep it on our radar as we plan out our roadmap for the future.

    Thank you for the suggestion!

    Hi @lahuengarcia,

Just a quick follow up, we have the Dynamic Population Feature that will allow you to preselect an option for fields including the dropdown field.

Please check this link for more information.

However, this feature do not have a built-in way to pull a dynamic value like a user meta and set it to the query string. It could be possible with some custom code but this is something that goes beyond the scope of our support.

    I hope this helps.

    Hi @jadeam,

    Thanks for the data.

I thought about using custom SmartTags on the Default Value field, that use functions to return strings obtained from the user meta values previously set by another form.

But i don’t have the Default Value field on the Dropdown, lol.

    I’ll keep doing researchs.

    Regards,
