• Hi there :),

I started my first wordpress-site last week and i am trying to arrange the keywords in a specific order but it always arranges in alphabetical (?) order, which doesnt work for number, which I need for my site (I linked a screenshot).

    Is there any way to manually arrange “keywords” or a setting, that enables me to have 40, 20, 10, 5, 1 oder 1, 5, 10, 20, 40 ?

    Kind regards,
    Jan

  • What are these “keywords”? Tags? Categories? Something else?

    Hi George,

i am talking about Tags here.

WordPress doesn’t provide a built-in way to do this in the dashboard.

As with all cases of WordPress where a desired feature is not supported, you can use a plugin or write your own custom code to sort your list of tags the way you want.

If you’re not a developer and prefer to use a plugin, use the
Custom Taxonomy Order plugin. After installing the plugin, go to the plug’s Tags Sorting to first sort all your tags in the order you prefer them to be listed. Then under “Auto-Sort Queries of this Taxonomy”, select “Custom Order as defined above“.

    Good luck!
