Archives not working

I have recently changed my theme to Simple Grid Theme Responsive by dessign (http://www.dessign.net/simple-grid-theme-responsive/).

The archives widget is not working properly. When you click on June, for example, it takes you to the home page.
I reactivated an the twenty eleven theme, and the archives widget is working properly, so I assume it has something to do with the current theme that I have installed.

Is there a way to fix this without having to change the theme I chose?
