• My website is http://www.themonarchreview.org/. The archives link at the top of the pages works as it should, but selecting the monthly/yearly archives in the right column in the archives page redirects the user to the home page. The URL displays correctly as http://www.themonarchreview.org/2011/02/, but the content is incorrect.

I have looked up a bunch of articles for the same issue and many people suggest that Meta Robots plugin is the culprit, but I am not running this plugin.

    Any help would be appreciated.

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – resetting your custom permalinks back to the default setting. If this works, then review Using_Permalinks before setting a custom permalink structure back up again.

Thanks for the response. I tried all steps above, except for resetting the plugins folder as I am unfamiliar with how to do this. It looks like archiving works when I apply a different theme. The other options didn’t yield any result.

So, the problem lies somewhere within my theme… any suggestions on where to start looking for the problem??

    Thanks
