• I didn’t see anything on this topic so I hope this isn’t a double post. As it stands, when I click on a category name or archive month, it displays all posts in their entirety. Is there a way to make WP list only the post titles with links to the individual post instead?
    Thanks. 🙂

  • I’m interested in this too…and believe me, I searched the forums backwards and forwards, with every permutation of “archives” “listing” and “monthly” of which I could think.
I’ve got too considerable an archive built up (I just converted over from MT) for it to work in the default manner.
Thank you for any help you could give. WordPress seems so much more complicated than MT was for me…help me solve some of its mysteries! I want to like it, I do!

I’ve seen it used, just don’t know what the plugin is to make it happen. I would like to do this too.

Depending on template files in your theme – you should edit the archive.php (no S at the end!!!) and/or category.php, and replace the_content with the_excerpt.
