When I click a job posting from “http://www.findstaffingsolutions.com/job-seekers/”, the content that is supposed to be hidden, and toggled to appear with the “Apply for Job” button is already pre-loaded and does not toggle.
Can you temporarily switch themes to one of the default WordPress themes and see if this still happens after that?
Another problem is that when on a job post, clicking the back button to go back to the “job seekers” page makes no entries appear.
See if changing your themes solves this as well.
Hi Adam,
Thank you very much for your response. I can’t change the website’s theme without heavily messing up the overlapping and sliding graphics among other things. I’m not sure what to do. The theme being used is Strata Child.

Well, you could try to simply preview a default theme under Appearance > Themes, but it’s probably not as good of a test as actually switching themes.
Another thing to try would be disabling all of your plugins except for WP Job Manager ones and seeing if that solves the issue.
Thanks!
Hi Adam,
I have tried the preview and it messes up a lot of the site’s layouts. I inherited these problems so I am not really confident of changing the theme and having to fix the things that come up with it after yet.
Is there a way to disable the button? I have tried searching here before, but the methods are for past versions I think and don’t work anymore.

Yansen
I mean… You could hide / disable the button, yes, but then how are people going to apply to a job?
You may want to look into hiring or at least getting some advice from a professional WordPress developer. As it stands now, I can’t help much if you want to avoid switching themes or disabling plugins.
Hi Adam,
If I can hide the button, then I can also just load the content that is supposed to be hidden and toggled with the button. Is there a way to do that?

Yansen
Hi Adam,
I’ve just tried deactivating all of the other plugins, but nothing changes.

Hi Adam,
Changing the theme doesn’t help either. Mysterious.

Hi Adam,
Are there any other things that I can try?
Best Regards,
Yansen
@yansenyang try clearing you browser cache, and do a hard refresh in your browser by pressing clt + F5. usually changing to default themes or disabling plugins pinpoints the problem.
@yansenyang — Can you please download and install this theme?
https://wordpress.org/themes/twentytwelve/
Once you’ve installed it, please activate it and then ping us here so we can run some tests on your site.
Thanks!
Hi Adam,
I’ve just activated the theme twentytwelve.

@adam Heckler
Just a word of warning though, a lot of things look extremely haywire when changing themes for this website.

Yansen
Sure enough, changing themes fixes it. Video:

As you can see, it’s working just fine with a default theme, so the problem is somewhere in the theme you were using before. I’d contact the theme authors and see if they can provide any insight as to what might be occurring.
Thanks!
Hi Adam,
Thank you very much for all of your effort. I will contact the theme authors, however my boss tells me that maybe we should just take out the apply for job button and have the contact information already loaded on the page like the job description. Is that possible?
