• The appearance module on the wordpress.org site I am admin for at work has disappeared. I have been told to either re-install the plugin, update to the latest version or look for it in WP back-up?

I was wondering how to do all of this, especially since I don’t have a plugin module in my dashboard.

    Thank you.

If you’re missing both sections, it’s possible that your user level just isn’t high enough. Can you access the Users section of the Dashboard? If so, what is your user level listed as?

Also, you put down WordPress 3.5.2 as your version, which has a few publicly known security vulnerabilities (we’re on 4.1 now). Once you get this figured out, you really should upgrade: https://codex.wordpress.org/Upgrading_WordPress_Extended#Upgrading_Across_Multiple_Versions

I was giving the admin logo when I first started my job. I do vaguely remember seeing my menus, the previous employee did have this access, I’m not sure if I’ve deleted it by accident.

Is it possible to create another admin account?

Sorry for not noticing this sooner.

Only another administrator on the site can give you a new administrator account.

If you think your old administrator account still exists, here are a few ways to recover your password: https://codex.wordpress.org/Resetting_Your_Password

Hi James, thanks for the advice, I believe I am the administrator as I have the admin logo.

Would changing or recovering my password really solve my problem and the appearance tab reappear? Because it’s still the same account whether I change or recover the password or not.

Can you access the Users section of your Dashboard? If so, does it say “Administrator” next to your username?
