• Hello,

im looking for a good way to create an App for a wordpress project.
I was checking out some existing solutions but i wasnt able to find a solution that works and meet our requirements.
Because of the small Budget for the starting time the project is dependent to a existing solution instead of a custom app creation.

    Requirements:

    – Should be able to output Posts in Categories
    – Should be able to administrate by customer in google play (no third party like Blappsta)
    – Should be able to let the user choose the categories he wants to get push notifications from (example image https://i.imgur.com/Zf7sZyK.png)
    – Small/Medium Budget (no plans with high setup and high monthly payment plans like MobiLoud [$1,500 setup+$319/mo for starter] is much too high)

After the good starting and some customers for our project we’re definitelly planing to order a custom app.

Do you have some expirience with some app solutions and do you know a solution which could be the right one for the project? Please let me know.

Thank you very much in advance!

If you are going to have a custom app developed, I suggest you first identify the right developer to work with. Use due diligence in selection like one should do with any consultant: check qualifications, references, etc. Let them propose the best way forward while keeping your needs at the forefront. The WordPress REST API is what apps use to interface with WP. It’s very flexible, if somewhat obtuse. It’ll be able to deliver what you need from the WP end of things. The rest is up to the app developer.
