Hey Radu, thanks for posting this, but we have recently updated our plugin which should cover apostrophe search as well (among many other things).
Have you tried it out yet? We’d love to hear your thoughts!
Let us know! Take care & have a nice day!
Best,
Silvo
Bjr,

hello,
i’ve got problems with apostrophe and I work in version 8.0
Can you help me please ?
Hey, thanks for reaching out & I’ll gladly help, but I’m not exactly sure what’s the problem you are dealing with, since searching with apostrophes works quite well with us.
Any chance you could clear up things a bit more for us? Maybe a screenshot of the problem you are experiencing? Any additional feedback is more than appreciated, since we’re eager to help you out!
Looking forward to your reply! Take care & have a nice day!
Best,
Silvo
hello,
thanks for your reply
the keyword I try to search into your module is : “mur d’escalade”
my website is : http://www.regesports.com
the keyword I search is associated with my article visible here : http://www.regesports.com/sol-aire-de-jeux-exterieur/
but when I write “mur d’escalade” into the search module I have the message : “sorry, but we can’t find ….”
any idea ?
thanks
Hey csce,
thanks for additional information & I hope you don’t mind me answering on Silvo’s behalf.
The thing is, you are searching for: “mur d’escalade” and you should be searching for: “mur d’escalade”. In other words, the difference is in the apostrophe. The apostrophe (’) looks the same as a closing single quotation mark (‘) and our plugin noticed the difference.
Please do let me know if you have any more questions or if there’s anything else that I can help you with – I’ll do it gladly!
Best,
Petra
Salut csce,
Best,
Petra
hello,
actually, copying the character which you speak, it works well. By cons I use the apostrophe “4” keypad usually key. How to be recognized that the apostrophe?
Thank you again for your help
Hey,
every keyboard layout is a bit different – it depends on operating system, language you are using,… So to be completely honest, whenever I need a character I can’t find on a keyboard I just copy/paste it from the web 🙂 But to answer your question – apostrophe is “curly” ’ and single quotation mark is just “straight” ‘. On my keyboard, for example, I can insert the apostrophe with AltGr+x combination as you can see here.
Hope this helps!
Petra
