API added subscribers pending confirmation status

Hello,

I’m following the doc at https://beta.docs.mailpoet.com/article/195-add-subscribers-through-your-own-form-or-plugin to add new subscribers to a list using PHP and a HTML form.

It works, but the problem I have, is that the new subscribers remain in ‘pending confirmation’ status. Is there any way to change that to ‘confirmed’ using the API?
