Hey Arnie,
How did you uninstall the apps?
Hi, I uninstalled the phpBB by going onto my server (logging into PLESK) , clicking APPLICATIONS , manage my applications , and clicking remove at the side of phpBB
wp-united app – I uninstalled via wordpress by going into the plugin menu and clicking deactivate and thenuninstall
Can you browse to the public_html folder and see the WordPress files?
if I go to root directory >>> httpdocs I can see a wordpress folder
yes
So the domain is pointing to that WordPress folder and inside it there is a index.php and the rest of the WordPress files? I’m lost with the httpdocs folder ..sounds like you have root access to the server and you should be in something like /home/user/public_html/wordpress
The test page indicates that there is no index.html or index.php file in the folder that the domain points to.
yes as if I type http://www.manchester-aviation.co.uk/wordpress the website home page loads up but if I then click on a page link it shows that server page again
if I type just http://www.manchester-aviation.co.uk then server page comes up
yes their is a index.php inside the wordpress folder and rest of the files
do you have an email, I could email you a screenshot
I just registered on the site so you should get my email (gt). All the pages work if you put the /worpress/ part in the url bar. I wonder if the Home and URL are set right in the Settings>General.
I think you lost the .htaccess and index.php file from the domain root.
Check this link.

it wont even let me login the my CMS > mange themes >>>> manage in wordpress
comes up error code 503 service temporary unavilable
Yes I see that the site is now crashed. Time to talk to the hosting people?
Hi, iv managed to get back into the admin section,
I followed that tutorial, I tried copying them two files
index.php and .htaccess from – root directory > httpdoc > wordpress
to root directory
but it keeps coming up with the following error
Unable to copy /httpdocs/index.php: filemng failed: filemng: Error occurred during /bin/cp command.
I really do think you need to get the Hosting Support involved.
