On the CLI?
Please FTP into your installation or use file manager and check the “wp-content” path.
There will most probably be an object-cache.php file sitting there.
Open/view the file, header will tell you the origin. Probably from another plugin.
Decide whether to keep or remove (or rename the file).
atec-cache-apcu installation should proceed after that.
CLI means “Command Line Interpreter” in other words, when I SSH into the server.
As I said there is no such file in the wp-content directory yet the message remains.
If I install your “atec Cache APCu” plugin that file then does appear, but the message still says:
“atec Cache APCu: Another ‘object-cache.php’ file exists. Please deactivate it first.”
So it doesn’t seem to recognise it’s own file
I think that is because you did not close the error msg.
It is persistent until closed.
What is the cache status?
Please send a screenshot.
I guess I expected the error message not to display if there was no error!

There was an error some time before and that error stays until you dismiss it.
That is designed this way so you do not miss an error across reloads.
You can tell everything works if Settings tab shows: Object Cache is active.
