If I use a grough instead of individual lists the name of the group is included as a check box. How can I remove that ?

    Hello @ahamaton,

I am not sure if I understood your question. Can you please provide more details and if possible a screenshot?

Thanks for the response Harish and sorry it looks like I had fat fingers that day. Basically I want to offer people multiple select options as to which lists they are included in. The only ways I have found is to prepare individual forms for each list or to combine the lists in to a group. The problem I have had with group forms is the form includes a name of or code for the group with a tick box as well. It’s just annoying as nobody is going to know what it is and it isn’t a real list anyway. Hopefully it’s just a problem I’m having or user error. Does that make sense ?

    Hello @ahamaton,

No issues, but I’m afraid I still have not understood your question. Do you want to display the list choice as a drop-down field like in this example http://www.w3schools.com/tags/tryit.asp?filename=tryhtml_select (on the right section)?

Thanks for getting back to me again Harish. The form is more sophisticated than that but in principal the core of my needs would be a drpp down, checkbox or anything with multiple options like your drop down but also the option to multi-select – unlike yours. So for example if it was tick boxes, I could tick more than one tick box.
    Thanks again

    Just to clarify
Mailchimp’s documentation says this is perfectly possible by creating a ‘group’. The problem as I say is when I have tried that the lists you add to the group show on the form and you can select more than one however, there is an additional tickbox which is either the name of the group if you use some plugins but if you use Mailchimps own template; from my experience it doesnt even show the name it shows a code mailchimp creates for your group. I’m sure there must be a way of avoiding this; it seems crazy.

    Cheers

    Hi Andrew,

This actually used to be default functionality in the plugin using the “List Choice” field (when editing your form this should show up as an available field) BUT we accidentally removed the checkbox choice from that field type dropdown option.

This will be fixed in the next update of the plugin, which we’re hoping to push out tomorrow.

If you’re in a big hurry then please know that you can always download the latest development version of the plugin from here.

Hope that helps. If not, let me know!

Thanks for that. It says it’s not recommended for use in a production environment, which of course it is unfortunately. If that’s the case I’ll have to wait until the next update, at least it’s recognised and being worked on. I don’t suppose you have a timeline that this update is expected to be released?
    Thanks
    Andrew
