I’m seeing you can have plugin, but if their widgets to use them you have to drag them into the sidebar or footer. I don’t know how to make another section. But there is also a theme function the_widget().

So, if the widget is not in the sidebar or footer but active, can you still call the_widget()? But then there’s no simple way to customize it.

I’ve seen plugin that insert themselves in the to left menu, which seems to be overkill.

No one has answered my question how to make another section beside footer and sidebar, like header or content. I can add the plugin as a filter for the content. Or, call the_widget()? Under what circumstances can you call the_widget()?
