Should I install an amp on my newly created site or should I install it after some time has passed. I also have a non-wordpress site [redacted]. Can I install on this site, that is, a non-wordpress site, with an amp plugin?

You can definitely try the AMP plugin on your WordPress site. sooner is better as it will help you choose AMP-compatible themes and plugins which may reduce further complications
