    Tablepress user for 11 years.
AMP plugin user for 7 years.
Have never previously had any AMP validation fails for Tablepress scripts.
Each sporting event we conduct has event results that are imported to Tablepress and uploaded to our website for access by members.
Suddenly AMP plugin has rejected the Tablepress scripts required to enable the results on https://adventuresportnq.info/events/results/2020-results/ to be opened and viewed.

I have a screenshot of the AMP report but no upload ability here.
Why suddenly is the AMP plugin rejecting script that the Tablepress creator insists it shouldn’t reject and what can be done to fix the issue.
    cheers
    Mike

  • Many thanks for getting in touch. In relation to the validation errors you’re encountering this is as a result of the latest reader mode changes, which you can find out more about this on this sticky post.

Previously reader mode automatically handled all validation errors, by removing scripts and invalid elements, which are not compatible with the AMP framework. Based on feedback many users were unaware of these AMP validation errors which did exist, but which were just not highlighted.

In order to revert to hiding these validation notifications you can disable AMP Developer Tools from the user configuration options. (Users > Profile > AMP Developer Tools)

Let me know if that answers your query. If you’d like me to inspect your validation report you can also use this form to share privately. Using the same form you can share your Site Health information and we can confirm the plugin setup is correct.

    G’day James,
Thanks for getting back to me.
No, that does not answer my query.
I have followed your suggestion and completed the form you shared the link for.
Will await your answers to what the form discloses.
    regards

    Hi Mike,

Thanks for sharing your information. I’ve inspected your details and the plugin setup seems correct.

You mentioned in the form you’d like to see the TablePress scripts being approved for use in AMP. JavaScript has always been incompatible with AMP, that included TablePress scripts. You may not have been aware of this previously as the AMP plugin automatically removed these scripts (in AMP URLs only) although users may not have been aware. As of version 2.0 the plugin now reports these validation errors. You can switch off these validation errors being exposed once more following the steps previously advised (Users > Profile > AMP Developer Tools).

From the front end of your website TablePress should appear the same in AMP URLs as it did in previous versions.
