One of the restrictions is AMP do not allow custom javascript AMP provide list of component that can be used in place of custom javascript to provide those features.
The AMP framework is not adopted correctly by all WordPress plugins and themes, that’s why we created a list of plugins and themes that are AMP compatible and we will recommend using them as alternatives to your existing plugins.
