Alternating row background colors

    Hi,
    I am in the process of migrating my site from Joomla to WP. In Joomla the links are nicely separated. Here is what I have now on my joomla site: standupgirl.com

    Is it possible to have each link in it’s own row in a alternating background color. Like white and then the next link a light gray with extra padding in each to make each row easier for a user to see?

    Also instead of having to add my heart icon to each link, is there a way to have that added globally?

    Hello Diana, As you can see on this example page (http://ylefebvre.ca/freeware-database/), it is definitely possible to have alternating row colors. Adding more padding and such can also definitely be done through modification of the plugin stylesheet. This does require some CSS knowledge. If you are not familiar enough with CSS, I can help you make changes.

    As for adding a heart icon in front of each link, no problem either.

    Yes, I would like the modification is there a charge for you to help me with this?
    Will the the modifications be overwritten if you have a plugin update?

    Modifications to the stylesheet are saved to your site database, so they are unaffected by plugin updates.

    As for charges, I usually just ask people who I help with styling their Link Library output for a donation. You can follow the donation link in the plugin and give what you can to support it’s development.

    Hello Diana. Thank you for your support. Have you already installed WordPress on your server and selected your theme? While I could give you general instructions on how to adjust the library look on your site, it is better if I can see your site and test CSS adjustments using browser development tools. This way I can get a preview of my changes right away and tell you exactly what changes to make.

    Yes, it is in a sub directory /sugwp/ till I am finished. Then I will move it to the root.

    Do you want to login to the dashboard? If so can I email you privately?

    Can I use the email address that paypal has in my transaction email?
