• Hi,
i’m about to start coding my webdesign and building it on wordpress,
the website is like a directory of other sites.

I want the user to be able to add their website
and fill in the necessary details, about, social networks, etc..

Visitors will be allowed to comment on the website and ‘like’ it
so i need the website author to be able to comment back.

Does anybody know the best way to create this functionality.

I have the rating covered so only need help with the next bit:

At first i was going to have a contact form in which you would fill in all the necessary info, then when i recieve the form, i would have to write it in a custom post manually.

But there must be an easier way, in which the website owner writes
the info i need then i approve the info and it displays it on my site.

I want the website submitter to be allowed only to write exactly the info i need and to be allowed to comment on posts, and on their own posts they will have the author styles applied so regular commenters know who they are.

Can anyone point me in the right direction or name me a plugin that can do that for me?

    Maybe TDO mini forms???

    Thanks
    Daniel

    I also found this tutorial:

But it was written in 2008 so think it might be a little out of date.
eg, in the tutorial he mentions using role manager plugin but i think the same thing can be done now within the wordpress dashboard?

He has made a nice site with the tutorial, similar to what i want but mine will have commenting functionality.
